Clean & Simple 3+4

Good afternoon folks, sorry I’m a little behind today,

don’t know where the time has gone.

Today I will share day 3 & 4 of my clean and simple card swap offerings with you.

Now please remember that I don’t do white space, so this is extremely challenging for me.

In fact, how I managed to get this swap done is honestly beyond me, as I

am so critical of my work.

Love it!

That’s all I can say.  Feel like I’m getting the hang of this “simple” malarky.  But in all

honesty you can’t go far wrong with an adorable image like that :))

Onto card number 4.

I did manage to keep quite a lot of white space…. I think?

Oohh who am I kidding, I will let you be the judge of that.

Well I wasn’t fibbing!  There is still a lot of white space, although I did use an embossing folder to

add a little bit of interest to all that white.

Even adding the vellum greeting creates an air of simplicity in my opinion.

Finished off with a beautiful rose stamp, again from http://www.Dreamees.org.uk .

I was seriously pleased with how this card came together.

Next time I will share the last card in this series, along with the folder I created to store them in.

Until next time…. toodles x

Thanks Kindly

Welcome to day 2 of my Clean and simple card swap.

Todays card uses a stamp set that I bought at one of the big craft shows, here in the UK.

It is a mixed media stamp set from http://www.studiolight.nl  and the code is STAMPMM218.

It is a set containing 6 clear stamps, in circle designs.

I know thats not a very good description, but yoou will see what I mean in a moment.

I added a doodle border as I feel it brings the eyes into the focal point of the card,

plus it acts like a faux layer if you will.

The greeting is from stampin up & is called “one big meaning”, and all the circles were stamped

using stampin up inkpads in -:

Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Cajun Craze, Meln Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist,

Emerald Envy & Rich Razzleberry.  Phew, think thats all of them.

Another fab result I?  Let me know what you think.

Clean and simple

Hello again my friends.

Today is the first of a 5 day series consisting of Clean & Simple cards.

They were made for a swap over on Facebook, where we made 5 cards and a holder to store them in.

I joined this swap with the purpose of challenging myself,

you see I’m the kind of girl who adds a bit more here, a few gems there and so on, and so on.

Clean and simple cards, with lots of white space are not my forte, to say the least, however,

I do like them, I just always feel like mine are missing something.

So without further ado, here is the first of my 5 cards-:

Rather impressed if I do say so myself.  I used a stamp set from Dreamees called Jingle the elephant,

and you can find it here-:  http://www.dreamees.org.uk

Join me again tomorrow and see the next in the series.

Thanks for stopping by x

Your a wizard Harry

I know I said I was extremely busy for a few days,

but had to come on here and share my latest creation with you all.

It’s Harry Potter! (squeal)

Do you think I’m happy that I managed to get me some wizarding goodies.

I only had time to make 1 card so far, and I think I will save it for my sons birthday in a few weeks time.

I purchased the Harry Potter die & face stamp, a paper pad and a die of the Gryfindor crest.

Like I said a quick make, but I know my son will love it.  Now I’m inspired to try my hand at making a wand.

Mmmm will keep you updated on that idea.

Hope you like it.

New Goodies

Hey there,

wanted to share some new goodies I bought from Create and Craft.

When I was younger, I read lots of books.  I mean every kind of book I could find, but some of

the earliest books I read was The Mr. Men.  Little Miss didn’t exist that long ago.

Anyway you can  imagine how excited I got when Create and Craft

launched a paper kit based on the Mr. Men and Little Miss, so of course I just had to have me some of it.

They had different kit sizes, but this is the one I purchased.  It included backing papers, decoupage, toppers, 3 sets of

clear stamps and 6 fat quarters of fabric.

Look at all that yumminess:).  Can’t wait to have a play, unfortunately its not going to be anytime soon,

as I have so much going on right now, but rest assured when I do get to play with these goodies,

I will share my makes here on my blog.

Ta ta for now, & happy crafting x

Forever Friends

Howdy doody folks.

Today I am sharing the final of 3 cards made when I was supposed to be doing the ironing.

I get distracted easily, what can I say!  I have to pass through the craft room,

to get to the laundry room, I can’t help it if my craft stash calls my name!  (that’s my story & I’m sticking to it).

So here it is, it’s an all time favourite image, who everyone in the world will recognise.

Isn’t that a gorgeous image?  Who doesn’t love Forever Friends?

You cannot make a bad card with a Forever Friends image, it does all the work for you.

All I added was a few layers of cardstock, a Dreamees doily, a couple of my tiny flowers, ribbon & a sentiment.

Why make a card like this….. Why not?

With a greeting like “just because”, I could even slip it in my husbands work bag,

just to make him smile.

Simple elegance, at lightning speed, perfect if making cards for charity.

Hope it makes you smile too.

Ballerina bunny

My last post was showcasing my playtime make, if you will.

Well I didn’t just make 1 card, I did in fact make 3.  So here is the second installment

of my pinched playtime.

The only thing I actually had to cut was the doily in the background.  I used my Dreamees doily die for this.

Everything else was already stamped and cut so it was a very quick process

to complete a finished item.

You really can’t go wrong having cards like this in your armoury, it says “Hello”, “Thanks”, “Get well soon”,

simply omit the greeting when you make it, and add a greeting only when needed.  Simples!!

Well that was short & sweet today, wasn’t it.

Remember to leave a comment, I would love to know who’s actually reading my blog.

Do what makes you happy xx

Quick cards

Do you ever just play with your craft supplies, and end up with a finished article?

I do, and today was no exception.

I went into my craft room with no clear plan in my head, other than to leave the ironing until later. Haha.

Anyhoo, I started having a rummage through my stash and came across a few

images that I had stamped, but not coloured.  Of course I set about colouring them in, I mean it’s the

perfect way to unwind isn’t it?

A few scraps of paper, and 10 minutes or so later I had created this, a cute card made in a jiffy.

What a perfect excuse for not finishing the laundry!  (crying with laughter here).

Hope this inspires you to have a play, some of the best things are made when your not thinking too

much about it.

Happy crafting

More Embellishments

Hi there folks.

Just a quick post today to share a few more embellishments I have made.

I was going for the shabby chic look.  You know, feminine, pretty, but also usable.

My problem is when I made these I knew I wouldn’t want to part with them.

So heres hoping that I don’t hoard them for too long.

I used a selection of dies and scraps of paper to create these adorable pieces of work,

plus a few paper flowers, pearls and glitter to add a bit of bling.

The phrases were super simple to make, I just typed them up on the laptop, shrunk them to the size I wanted,

and as we say here in the UK…  Job’s a good en.

Hope you’re enjoying sharing my creations, and feel free to leave a comment below.

Ta ta for now my darlings xx

Kanban Glamour

Good morning peeps!

Soooo, when I see kits that I like on Create and Craft, I often buy them.

It doesn’t matter who the manufacturer is,  if it calls to me, chances are I will buy it.

Well this Kanban kit was no exception.  Its called Vintage Glamour, and its just that……..

Vintage Glamour!!

The kit speaks for itself really, it’s feminine, glamourous, excellent quality, and above all else –

value for money.  Kanban never fail to bring beautiful products, and although I don’t own lots

of their kits, the ones I do own are simply amazing.

Here is a card I made using an image from the kit, along with some paper flowers & a Crafters Companion die

in the background.

Turned out pretty good considering I was just playing around.  What do you think?

Feel free to leave me a comment, I love to get other peoples perspective on my projects.

Bye for now & happy crafting x
