Tags Everywhere

Do you remember me saying that I make lots and lots

of christmas tags?  Well here is another 100 to add to the mix.

I used Dreamees stamps from a set called Poinsettia, if memory serve me correctly,

The other stamps used are from various other sets, that are unbranded.

It was all brought together with some red & white bakers twine, just to add a little bit of colour.

Simple , yet effective, wouldn’t you agree.

Ta ta for now x

Too early for christmas

Hello you lovely people.

Is it too early to start thinking about christmas?

As a crafter it’s never too early, especially if you do craft fairs around the holiday season.

I have started to make some christmas tags, that will get divided

up into mixed packs, to sell at my craft fairs.  Below is the first 2 designs that I have made,

using the Snowman rubber stamps from Create & Craft.

I generally make around 100 of each design so that I can make plenty of packs up,

plus I do lots of designs.  people seem to like buying handmade tags,

I think it has something to do with the tradional feel it brings to your gift giving.

Heres a peek at the finished result.  The scan n cut really comes into its own here, by the time I had stamped

and coloured the images, I couldn’t be bothered cutting by hand, so in the scan n cut they went.

Made it so much faster and easier.

200 down…. umpteen to go!

Happy christmas crafting X

Oh no! Its that time of year when all the schools are having prom.

It gets expensive for parents, what with the limo, the hair, the nails, the dress, the list

goes on….. Thank god I have another boy!

A lot less hassle, and a whole lot cheaper too.  My son is currently 18 years old,

and having another prom.  Yes another.  You see he attends a special needs school, so because

they have a small number of students over all 3 years of 6th form,  the whole of the 6th form

attend the prom….. meaning he will go to 3 proms.

I know that sounds strange but there are less than 60 students in his 6th form.

So with all of that explained, I thought I would share a picture of Zach, all donned up,

in his best bib and tucker.

He has grown up so much over the last few years, and to look at him you would not realise

how severe his disability is.  He is a lovable young man who makes me so proud each and every day.

There is not a day goes by, that I am not truly thankful for being blessed with such a wonderful family.

Zach is the youngest of 5, so the next step i my families journey

will be grand babies.   Watch this space!

Pocket Letters everywhere

I seem to be making a lot of pocket letters of late.

Although I’m not complaining, they are quite therapeutic, as each pocket is filled with a different piece of artwork,

just following the same theme.

Yet again this is one I made for a swap over on MIAMI a facebook swap group.

Based on summer, here is my latest make-:

Most of the embellishments were made using a nitwit collection called Sandcastles,  surprise surprise, with the

exception of a few Hunkydory stamps.

Super easy, Super quick,  just take the images into your graphics program,

re-size and print.  I even scanned it into my scan n cut to do the cutting work for me.

Who needs to sit fussy cutting!

Hope you like it, and see you next time x

New Nitwit Collection

I was browsing through the Nitwit collections online store,

https://www.nitwitcollections.com/sh and came across a collection called Abigail.

It was super pretty, and I instantly added it to cart and quickly checked out.  I knew exactly

what I was going to use this digi kit for.

Another one pad pocket letter!  Every paper, embellishment, journal spot and sentiment,

came from this digi kit.  You really should check them out, they have

so much variety, and you can print out what you need as often as you like.  I do like digi kits,

can you tell.

So until next time…… Happy crafting folks x

canvas artwork

Morning all.

Following getting some good results with my mixed media tags, I got a little bit brave.

Ok a lot brave, as I decided to try it on a canvas.

It was an 8×10 inch canvas that I had purchased from the pound shop.

So if I screwed it up I hadn’t wasted lots of cash.  Well here are my results-:

Not bad for a first attempt on something this size, but I definitely need practice.  Instead of buying

expensive chip board pieces to add texture, I cut out the same die a few times and layered it up.  This gave

it a little more dimension and durability, just like a chipboard piece, but without

the additional cost.  Next time I will add more modpodge to the papered area though….. not impressed

with how its bubbled.

Feel free to comment and give me your opinion.

Thanks in advance

Mixed Media Tags

Hello world,  How are you today?

Bringing you a quick post today, to showcase a couple of mixed media tags that I made.

I have been using the really thick tags that you often

get on your clothing as a base for a mixed media tag.  The reason being they are thick and durable,

and as you are adding a variety of different mediums on them, they stand up quite well.

I was so inspired to try mixed media,

after watching maremismallart over on youtube -:https://www.youtube.com/user/MaremiSmallArt

and although I’m not very good at it, I am very pleased with my end creation,

not to mention that I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent making them.

Isn’t that what its about after all.

I will leave it there today, but I am more than happy with the outcome, now to use them on another project.

Do more of what makes you happy x

As I have shared the different items in my latest swap,

I feel it only right to show you the last items I have made to complete this swap.

After watching many youtube videos (Scrapdaworld) on making planners & travellers notebooks, I figured that this

would be a pretty awesome addition to my swap.

So here is my swap

I added a yearly calender, weekly planner layouts, plus extras to get through a whole year, and a couple of notebooks.

Attached to the spine is a paper tassel charm, just to add a bit of fun.

I then created a folder using mountboard, with concertina sides for a little bit of extra room.

This has a velcro style closure, it needed something to stay closed as there was so much in it.

Sorry I didn’t take more pictures of the planner,

but go over to youtube there are some really good tutorials there.

Hope you like the end result,

Happy crafting x

Alongside my recent shabby chic cards I have been making,

I have been making a pocket letter along the same theme, to put into a swap with the

last 3 cards.  The swap includes 3 cards, 1 pocket letter,  a handmade item of your choice and a folder

to house it all in.

so today I will share my pocket letter that I have created for this swap.

I went ahead and dug into the Kanban “Belle de Fleuer” kit again,

as I find it so appropriate for this style of project.  Most of the embellishments were also from

this kit, with the exception of a couple of stamped images.

Not too shabby if I do say so myself. (parden the pun).

bhye for now,

Kim x
