Time To Sew

Hello Hello!

Good morning to you all.

Today I bring to you a little sewing project that I have been working on, in the

form of Lanyards.  Yes those things we hang around our neck,  to show our ID badges at work

or college, whatever the case may be.

Now I didn’t make many, only 18,  as I don’t know how well they will sell,

however I am hoping that the cuteness of the fabric used will help with sales.  Here the are-:

How cute are these!  Loved how easy they were to make, and in amazing fabric too.

I want one for myself, except I don’t actually need one.   Maybe I

should make one with a phone holder attached?  I’m always leaving my phone in a different room

to where I’m working.

Now to go over to http://www.thecuttingcafe.typepad.com

to find a suitable box in which to package them.

If you enjoyed todays post please leave a comment, I would love to hear from you.

Happy crafting peeps xx

Design Team News

I’m so happy :)))

Just over a week ago I sent my information to a company called-:  The Cutting Cafe.

They had posted a design team call on their blog, and so I thought why not!

Within a few days of the close of this call,

I received an email from the shop owner saying that I had made the team.

Now to some this may sound like a load of old garbage,

but to me it’s a very big deal.

This is the first time I have ever dared to apply for a design team call,

despite the fact that I have wanted to, on numerous ocassions, however felt that my crafting

would not be up to the standards that they would require.

So you can imagine how overjoyed I was to be accepted.

On the 7th & 21st of every month, you can go along to their blog and see projects from myself,

and the rest of the design team.  Here is the link-:

Pop on over and have a nosey around the shop too.  Everything is an automatic download,

and even if you don’t have n electronic cutting machine, don’t worry.  All Regina’s

files come in a pdf format so you can simply print and cut…

that’s where I started.

Here’s to new opportunities, new friends and new beginnings.

Happy crafting xx

Christmas is Coming

Afternoon people of the world.

How is your day going?  All’ s well here with just a quick post to share what I have been up to.

It’s how many days till christmas….. 93!!

And all the christmas fairs start in mid November, so I best get my skates on

and start creating.

I intend to sell packs of christmas cards of various designs, now obvioiusly there would be say

5 in a pack, and every pack would have 5 different designs in them.  Following so far?

So here is the first installment of christmas cards for said packs-:

I have used pretty much all Dreamees products, with the exception of the ribbon, twine and base card.

Everything else can be found on the Dreamees website here-: http://www.Dreamees.org.uk

The papers were printed from the “Playful Penguins”  CD,

using the icy tones paper selection.  The rocking horse image and the sentiment are from a set called-:

reindeers and rocking horses, even the pearls and doily are from Dreamees.

So with a few layers of distressed edge paper,  we have created what I consider to be,

some pretty good christmas cards, that anybody would love to receive

this christmas.

Until next time….. Happy Crafting xx

Tiny Treats

Hello again folks.

Are we all getting time to create, and stretch our imaginations?

Well if not don’t worry,  I have created something that you might like.  It’s a tiny christmas box,

full of mini gift cards that I bring  for todays post.

The file is available here-:

There is a multitude of designs on the lid of the box, including snowflake, snowman and a tree, to name but a few.

Here is the box I cut, using my beloved scan n cut.

I used navy cardstock for the lid, and used the snowflake design.  All I added

was the bling piece in the centre.  So simple,  and great as a table favour,  or just to jazz up an otherwise boring jewelry

store box.  I would sure love to receive a new necklace in a box like this at christmas….

Who wouldn’t?

The box measures approx 2 1/4 inch square, and I filled it with 6 2×2 inch gift cards and envelopes.

You could just drop one on a co-workers desk as your passing, and fill it with whatever

your heart desires.

Until next time….. happy crafting x

Weekend Creation

Good day to you all.

I do hope you have had a wonderful & enjoyable weekend, no matter what you were doing.

I had a little trip to Bakewell, in Derbyshire this weekend, as we popped along to see some of our friends, The Dreamees

at a pop up crafting live, charity event.

I love their products, so any chance I get to see new goodies, that they might be bringing to our screens,

I’m there!

I did manage to get a little bit of crafting in though……. in between the shopping, the housework & the family

visiting on Sunday for the usual roast dinner.  Take a look at what I made.

I purchased this svg file from the cutting cafe, and I’m so pleased I did.

I paired it up with a paper from my stash, and of course no girly project is complete without a helping

of Dreamees flowers. You can buy the gable box file here-:http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2016/09/gable-box-template-and-cutting-file-1.html

and the stamp set for the flowers here-:https://www.dreamees.org.uk/fancy-floral-stamp-set-2624-p.asp

I simply cut the main box out of 300gsm cardstock, added a piece of acetate for the window,

and made the flowers from a 120gsm paper. (should of used something a tad heavier I think), and finally

I used Dreamees Dinkiy inkies in Lavender sparkle & powder puff sparkle to colour the flowers.

Also available on their website.

I do like the size of this gable box, and am now considering what else I could fill it with for my christmas fairs later this year.

Hope you enjoyed reading today’s post, and don’t forget to leave a comment.

Ta ta for now my darlings.

Worth The Effort

Aahh, today is a sad day…. today is the end of another 100 christmas tags.

Yayy! (sarcasm at it’s finest)

I am actually glad that I am done making tags for the moment, as this last batch took quite

a bit more work than I first anticipated.

300 hand stamped, hand coloured, poinsettias later,

I have 100 tags.  Thank the lord that the Scan n Cut did all the cutting work for me.

And here are the results-:

I even hand doodled around the edge of every single one.

Yes they do look nice, but in all honesty, a little too much work.  With that said,

I will probably make more tags closer to christmas, just maybe not so time consuming next time.

Until my next post….

Do what makes you happy x

In the words of Brittany Spears “Ooops I did it again!!”

I will say now that NO, I did not don a red latex catsuit….. but I did buy more craft goodies.

I have been considering buying a Fuse Tool from We R Memory Keepers for some time now, so when

Create and Craft had something similar in a set, I was intrigued.

The set included a glue gun, a wood burning tool, and a sander.  OK that sounds boring, but wait for it,

you also received a power bank to use all these items without a power source.

Now the glue gun comes with 2 different sized heads, so if you only want small amounts of hot glue,

then that is what you get.  The sanding tool can also be used for carving into your wood, AND

as an engraving tool.  Last but not least the woodburning tool- this came with 2 heads,

one of which is a pointy tip, so you can write or draw with it,

and the other head is a roller, that can be used to seal plastic pockets, just like the FUSE tool.

So far I have only used the glue gun and woodburning tool, but heres what I created.

Now i am not an artist, but i was ecstatic at how easy it was to use.  This sign

took around half an hour to complete.  Just for the record, we moved Zach into a bigger room while

he was out, so on his return he got a bit of a surprise.  The sign was designed this way

as his favourite movie at the moment is “School of Rock”.

Hope you like it:)

Ta ta my darlings x

Share The Love

Hello you wonderful people!

So glad you could stop by and have a nosey around my blog.

Please feel free to leave me a comment, it’s so nice to know that I am not alone on this crafty journey.

Now todays post is not showcasing any of my makes, but simply to air my views about the upcoming season.

I love christmas!!  No two ways about it I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I also love to give gifts,

which is why this project is important to me.

Here in the UK, there are lots of things that people do for charity, and one of them is-:

The Shoebox Appeal

You basically fill a shoebox sized box with items to send to those less fortunate.

You decide the sex and age bracket you are sending to, and fill your boxes accordingly.  So far I have 14

boxes to fill, and while yes it can be expensive, if you break it down into bitesize pieces,

it is very do-able.

This is where my crafting goodies come in.  I have so far made rag dolls, make-up bags,

colouring books, crayon boxes, pencil boxes for pens & pencils & notebooks.

The items that i did purchase were bought in bigger, cheaper packs, and divided up into boxes that I made using svg files.

If you have a cutting machine such as a scan n cut or silouhette, you can buy svg cutting files so inexpensively,

and you can create some amazing gifts and packaging.  I will leave the links below for my GO TO companies,

these are the ones that I use all the time.

So if your thinking of doing something kind for a stranger this holiday season,  this might be the way to go.

Maybe your local schools run a shoebox appeal and you could put one together and donate it?

Wouldn’t that feel good?  Plus you get to make more STUFF.  It doesn’t need to cost a fortune.

It’s such a nice feeling giving that extra gift at christmas, and to someone who may have no-one but themselves.

Think about it, it’s only September, I just like to get organized.

Thanks for listening

Ice Skating Anyone.

Following on with the christmas theme,

I have some more christmas tags.  I did start them over the weekend,

but unfortunately felt under the weather, so was unable to finish them.  I have now completed them

and here they are-:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this image. It is manufactured by The Dreamees, and you can buy it here-:

I watercoloured the ice skates in a light blue, and added glitter to the blades.

The same blue was used to ink the edges of the tag, and also stamp the snowflake background.

Bakers twine was also used to create a tie for attaching it to a gift.

I did have something different in mind, but thats craft for you,

sometimes the direction you are heading in changes,  it doesn’t mean it’s wrong, it’s just different.
