It’s The Final Countdown

Doesn’t that make you want to break out in song?

Well it does me…. what can I say, I grew up in the 80’s.

As you may well of figured I am referring to the fact that we are less than a week away from Christmas.  Yay!  This is an incredibly busy time of year for all of us, so as a result the lovely Regina Easter, owner of https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com

asked her design team to share one last project for 2018.  Now this could be an old project or a new one. The choice was ours to make, but made life a little easier if we were re-sharing a project.

I decided to make something new using the Fun with Blocks file available here-: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2014/01/fun-with-blocks-template-and-cutting-files.html

Who doesn’t love a Christmas countdown, whether its in the form of an advent calender, or something a little simpler like this.  I love it and will be carefully packaging it away in the new year, to use it again next year :))

Holidays are Coming

Hello again,

How is everyone today?  Warm and well I hope.

It’s that time of the month, when I post my project for The Cutting Cafe design team,

so here it is……

The theme was Christmas, so I created several of these Stocking Boxes, available here-:

https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/christmas-stocking-box/

For decoration I printed off some snowflake paper from the Playful Penguins collection,

available here -: https://www.dreamees.org.uk/

I also used Dreamees stamps to create the poinsettia and holly leaves.  The crocheted trim

and pale blue ribbon were from my stash, along with the pearls.

It’s amazing what we have tucked away in our crafty areas!

To finish I used a black fine liner pen to create a faux stitch effect, I think it adds a bit of detail,

as well as separating the layers.

These are just big enough for a small bar of chocolate such as a multi-pack Dairy milk bar.

Another idea for this cutting file is to shrink it down further,

and cut out 24, to make an advent calender, wouldn’t that be cute?  24 tiny

stockings hung on your tree.

Be sure to check out The cutting cafe blog on the 7th & 21st of the month,  heres the link-:

and you can view every project made by the design team.  Leave a comment and

you will be in with a chance to win 3 files of your choice.

Dreamee Swap

Greetings from a very wet UK.

Yes it’s cold and wet here today, good thing I don’t want to venture out in this weather,

I got wet through just doing the school run!!

Anyhoo… here is the card I made for the Dreamees November swap, (yes I’m a little behind on posting).

Turned out rather pretty, don’t you agree.

The greeting, poinsettias and the frame are all Dreamees products, and the shabby wood

effect paper is a digital download from Etsy.

Everything else is from my craft stash, cos’ I have loads of STUFF hidden away in my treasure trove.

Leave a comment and let me know what your thoughts are, I love hearing from you all.

Well that was a nice quick post for today, so until next time…..

Happy Crafting xx
