Sketch Cards

Evening folks, how you all doing today?

I’m great, exhausted but great:)) Been playing with the grandkids all day, and although they are only 7 month old, they really do keep you on your toes.

Now then, I haven’t really had much MOJO, in the crafting sense since Christmas, however I am getting back into the swing of things. One thing that I find helps are the numerous card sketches you can find online.

There are a number of companies provide them, such as -: My Favourite Things, Operation Write Home, Mojo Mondays, in fact if you just type “card sketch ideas” into your search engine, you will find more than enough samples for you to use.

Here are a couple of cards I made using a couple of sketch’s from Mojo Mondays.

I challenged myself to use some of my 6×6 papers, that I seem to be hoarding, along with a couple of images from Dreamees. You can find them here-:

Don’t you just love em! I am really happy with the results, and the sketches did what I wanted them to…. they broke my crafting block, and got me on the move again.

So if your stuck in a bit of a crafting rut, get online and find a sketch that appeals to your senses, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

For now, I will love you and leave you, crafty hugs Kim xx

Happy Elephants

Good morning world, I do hope everyone is well today :))

Todays card is a lovely bright and cheerful card, that would raise a smile on the darkest of days, in anyones life.

It’s colourful, which for this time of year is perfect, as winter is becoming tiresome, and people are longing for warmer spring days. Although the weather here in the UK, has been very pleasant for a few days now, so that’s good.

So heres todays creation, take a look and see what you think.

Honestly how adorable is this elephant?

This is a stamp from and is part of a set called Spring Sweeties, (if memory serves correct).

I love the cute factor that the elephant image brings to this card, it really is quite a versatile stamp. Definitely going to be a favourite on kids cards.

The papers were from a paper pad I picked up from The Range, and only cost £4.00. I also used a scrap of Stampin Ups Melon Mambo to break up the busy papers. Black cardstock was used for my mats, as I find this gives it a real POP! It really makes the rainbow of colours stand out.

Hope you like it, now go create, be happy and have fun.

Happy Crafting, Kim xx

Dreamees Flowers

Hey all, how ya doin?

All good here, even getting time to do a bit of crafting, which is a total bonus, as I appear to have a whole host of stamps that I have been collecting, but haven’t found the time to use yet.

So here is today’s creation using images from a variety of sets from Dreamees. You can find them here-:

To colour the image, and to stamp the backgrounds, I have used sweet sugarplum ink from Stampin Up, along with Berry Burst cardstock for my mats, (also from Stampin Up). The pearls and ribbon were from my craft stash.

Quite a simplistic card, but beautiful non the less. I tried to keep it simple in design, as I didn’t want to create too much dimension, thus needing a box to post it in. ( postage costs can get out of hand quickly if your not careful).

I hope you like it, leave a comment and let me know what you think.

What are you creating today? Whatever it is remember to enjoy it. That is what crafting is about after all….. Enjoyment.

Until next time… do what makes you happy xx

3D Shadow Cards

Evening all, how y’all doing?

Lots going on in my personal life right now, so even my best attempts at blogging on a regular basis, have been so unsucessful, that’s it’s almost painful.

With that said, at least I am keeping up to my commitments with DT projects for The Cutting Cafe. This time round we were asked to showcase the new 3D shadow card template, found here-:

I created this card using Stampin Up’s Pool Party cardstock for the base, as it matched my papers so well. I cut all the elements to create a shaker in the centre panel, and a tag that I had made and put away with the rest of my stash.

The file gives you all the components you need to create this style of card, so all thats left for you to do is the decorating.

Front cover using the tag I had in my stash
All elements to make this shaker are included in the file.

And here is the view of the top, showing the 3D area.

So there you have it… my DT project for The Cutting Cafe. Hope you like it, and don’t forget to visit the website-:

Here you will find projects from other DT members, so there’s plenty to inspre you.

Until next time…. happy crafting xx

Valentines Inspiration

Good evening folks.

Just a quick post tonight with a wee bit of inspiration for your Valentines gifts.

I have used 6 files, yes you read correctly, 6 files from the cutting cafe to create these gorgeous gifts.

Now please don’t be mistaken, me and my OH don’t generally do anything special for Valentines, but this year I have made him a little something to say, ” get your butt in front of the TV”, so to speak. It’s always nice to watch a movie together.

Anyway here are the goodies I have made, and as I used a lot of files from The Cutting Cafe, I will add all the links at the end of the post.

The best way to get my hubby to watch a chic flick is with sweet offerings, hence the sugar content of this photo. (chuckling to self).

Now without further ado, here are the links to all the files I have used-:

fun with fry boxes

I heart you word shaped card

Fun with lunch bags

Keep calm and say I love you printable set

Movie time fun set

Bow tie with slit

Wow, what a long list! I do hope you visit The Cutting Cafe, as there are so many files to satisfy all your crafty needs. You could also check out the blog and see what the other design team members are creating for Valentines day :).

So until next time, do more of what makes you happy xx
