Just Chillin

Hey all.

A quick post today, just to share another scrapbook page with you all.

Naturally it’s of my grandson, having selfies with his Uncle Haydn. ( no spelling mistake here, that’s how we spell it)

So adorable aren’t they. It’s quite funny really, as Haydn wasn’t really a baby kind of person, until he became an uncle that is. Now he enjoys visits from them as much as we do.

As for the page, the black polka dot background along with the orange gingham, was a welcome colour change from the blues I have been using lately.

I added a few camera embellishments that I had made previously, just to add a little extra to the page. It really didn’t need much.

Hope you enjoy this relatively quick post, and visit again soon.

Until next time… carry on crafting xx

Issa Link Party

Hi everyone, how’s it going?

Fine here, in fact I’m extremely busy as I have lots of crafting projects on the go. Between doorsigns for my daughter, wedding invitations for my niece, projects for The Cutting Cafe & the end of year teacher gifts waiting to be made. I don’t know which way is up!

So… today I will share my Design Team project, coupled together with my challenge project for Scrapdaworld, Issa Link Party vol 6.

What do you think? Isn’t it cute! I love this box & I’m sure it will make a great gift to send to a fellow crafter as Happy Mail:))

Anyhoo, here is the tutorial for how to make the goodie flip box from Tmika, -: http://scrapdaworld.com/issa-link-party-vol-6-goodie-flip-box/

Also in the picture above are my embellishments that I created using files from The Cutting Cafe. I used the pdf printable files for the flowers, and the svg cutting files for the bows and mason jars. Just so that you can see how you can create fabulous items even when you don’t have an electronic cutting machine.

Here is a link to all the files I used-:

Mason Jar-: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2017/01/mason-jar-shaped-card-template-and-cutting-file.html

Bow Tie-: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2012/06/bow-tie-and-ribbon-template-cutting-fileplus-a-special.html

Flowers-: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2014/02/paper-flower-template-and-cutting-file.html

I thought it was a great idea to make the embellishments using files from The Cutting Cafe, especially as I had to create 3 sets for the Issa Link Party hosted by Tmika, over at Scrapdaworld.

Don’t forget to check out The Cutting Cafe Blog, you will find a whole lot of inspiration from all the design team members there. They all work so hard to create amazing projects to inspire you all, so go on over and show them some love.

I think that’s all I have to share for the moment, so until next time, do what makes you happy xx.

Almost Monochrome

As promised I am here to share another card from my card kit collection.

I have been crafting for many years, and adore the vast array of styles available for my creations. This does cause a few problems for me though, as I am trying to keep things simple, in the attempt to get more people crafting.

Obviously I don’t want to be off putting to potential customers, so finding the correct balance is a must.

I want people to like my products and be confident in recreating my designs, hence the reason I am aiming for more simplistic designs.

Although this card may look quite complicated, it is relatively easy. Instructions are provided with all my kits, so no need to worry, non crafters will be professionals in no time.

I do love how elegant this card turned out, there’s something about a bit of monochrome and how you can create such stunning designs. I hope you like it too.

Feel free to leave a comment, it’s nice to know that i’m not alone in blog land.

Remember… Do what makes you happy xx

Kit card 2

Hey there I’m back with card number 2, in my card kit designs.

It’s another super simple card, that would make any day seem brighter.

A trio of sunflowers in their cute little pots, have been planted next to the house, (hence the brick work background), so that everytime the owner steps out of the door, they will be greeted by stunning bright sunflowers. Doesn’t that sound lovely?

As before, all elements will be pre-cut, pre-coloured, everything!

Just simply add glue where instructed and stick the elements together. It couldn’t be easier. Seriously, all your friends will think you have spent so much time measuring and cutting, to create your handmade cards.

Imagine the smile on that persons face when they see a sunflower smiling back at them.

Please feel free to leave a comment, I would love to hear what you think.

Until next time….. Happy crafting folks xx

Card Kit Ideas

Hey there folks, just stopping by to say hello:)

Just lately I have been thinking about how I can make my hobby pay for itself. As a result I have decided to start selling some of my makes over on Etsy. When I have everything sorted, I will share the link to my shop with you all.

One of the items I will be selling are card kits. These kits will include all the items to make 4 cards of different designs, all embellishments and even the adhesive.

So todays post will be a card that I have made for these kits.

Such a cute and easy baby card is the first in this collection. As I mentioned earlier everything will be included, I have even prepared the background for you. All the pieces will be cut accordingly, and you can either follow the picture or the simple written instructions included within the kit.

Let me know what you think. I would love to hear your suggestions for things that would be of interest to you.

Hope you like the first installment of my card kit, I will be back with card number 2 in a day or so.

Ta ta for now, and happy crafting xx

Donut Fun

Hey everybody.

I am back today with my design team post for The Cutting Cafe, and I had Donut Fun using the file available here-: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2019/05/donut-fun-template-and-cutting-files.html Please pardon the pun. I couldn’t resist.

Of late you may have noticed my obsession with scrapbooking, and today’s post is no exception. I just couldn’t resist catching my hubby and son chowing down on a plateful of donuts. LOL.

So a scrapbook page was born, with the memory of David and Jacob munching on donuts. With a pot of tea in one hand and a donut in the other, they laughed as I caught them on camera. They obviously didn’t realise I would pop this picture on my blog for the world to see.

What better embellishments to use on this page than the Donut Fun file from The Cutting Cafe.

As you can see I have resized one of the donuts in this file, in a graphic program designed for crafters. I use ‘ My Craft Studio Elite’. You don’t have to have any special gadgets to use files from The Cutting Cafe, as the owner includes printables files as well. Simply print and cut…. it really is that easy.

Add a few gems and a sprinkling of glitter, and another fun moment has been documented, by means of a scrapbook page. What would you create with a file like this?

Head on over to The Cutting Cafe and browse the vast selection of files available in the online store, you can also view more projects from my design team buddies. I am sure you will find lots of inspiration. here’s the link-: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/

Thanks for checking out my blog, feel free to leave a comment, I love to hear from you all :))

A Bit Of A Break

Just a little catch up on what I have been up to lately.

The week before last my youngest son went on a PGL trip with school. YAY! We got a full week off, so took advantage of this and headed to the east coast for a bit of a holiday.

Now don’t get me wrong, I do miss Zach when he goes on trips like this, but he is due to leave school shortly, and we don’t get any respite for him, these breaks are few and far between, and definetly long awaited.

So David and I did what any parent of a disabled child would do, and took advantage of the time without him:)

We had beautiful weather, lot’s of fresh air, and lo and behold…. I did a lot of crafting! No surprise there then. I can’t go a day without doing something crafty, let alone a week.

I created quite a few scrapbook pages, along with more embellishments and some cards to go into card kits, that I intend to sell on Etsy in the near future.

So with all that said I will apologize in advance for inundating you with scrapbook posts, but like many folk out there I have huggins of photos to document. I might have to try my hand at Project life, as I could use a lot of photos on one page…….Watch this space.

So bye for now and happy crafting xx
