Happy Elephants

Good morning world, I do hope everyone is well today :))

Todays card is a lovely bright and cheerful card, that would raise a smile on the darkest of days, in anyones life.

It’s colourful, which for this time of year is perfect, as winter is becoming tiresome, and people are longing for warmer spring days. Although the weather here in the UK, has been very pleasant for a few days now, so that’s good.

So heres todays creation, take a look and see what you think.

Honestly how adorable is this elephant?

This is a stamp from https://www.dreamees.org.uk/ and is part of a set called Spring Sweeties, (if memory serves correct).

I love the cute factor that the elephant image brings to this card, it really is quite a versatile stamp. Definitely going to be a favourite on kids cards.

The papers were from a paper pad I picked up from The Range, and only cost £4.00. I also used a scrap of Stampin Ups Melon Mambo to break up the busy papers. Black cardstock was used for my mats, as I find this gives it a real POP! It really makes the rainbow of colours stand out.

Hope you like it, now go create, be happy and have fun.

Happy Crafting, Kim xx

Dreamees Flowers

Hey all, how ya doin?

All good here, even getting time to do a bit of crafting, which is a total bonus, as I appear to have a whole host of stamps that I have been collecting, but haven’t found the time to use yet.

So here is today’s creation using images from a variety of sets from Dreamees. You can find them here-: https://www.dreamees.org.uk/

To colour the image, and to stamp the backgrounds, I have used sweet sugarplum ink from Stampin Up, along with Berry Burst cardstock for my mats, (also from Stampin Up). The pearls and ribbon were from my craft stash.

Quite a simplistic card, but beautiful non the less. I tried to keep it simple in design, as I didn’t want to create too much dimension, thus needing a box to post it in. ( postage costs can get out of hand quickly if your not careful).

I hope you like it, leave a comment and let me know what you think.

What are you creating today? Whatever it is remember to enjoy it. That is what crafting is about after all….. Enjoyment.

Until next time… do what makes you happy xx

3D Shadow Cards

Evening all, how y’all doing?

Lots going on in my personal life right now, so even my best attempts at blogging on a regular basis, have been so unsucessful, that’s it’s almost painful.

With that said, at least I am keeping up to my commitments with DT projects for The Cutting Cafe. This time round we were asked to showcase the new 3D shadow card template, found here-:

https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/3d-shadow-card/

I created this card using Stampin Up’s Pool Party cardstock for the base, as it matched my papers so well. I cut all the elements to create a shaker in the centre panel, and a tag that I had made and put away with the rest of my stash.

The file gives you all the components you need to create this style of card, so all thats left for you to do is the decorating.

Front cover using the tag I had in my stash
All elements to make this shaker are included in the file.

And here is the view of the top, showing the 3D area.

So there you have it… my DT project for The Cutting Cafe. Hope you like it, and don’t forget to visit the website-: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/

Here you will find projects from other DT members, so there’s plenty to inspre you.

Until next time…. happy crafting xx

Valentines Inspiration

Good evening folks.

Just a quick post tonight with a wee bit of inspiration for your Valentines gifts.

I have used 6 files, yes you read correctly, 6 files from the cutting cafe to create these gorgeous gifts.

Now please don’t be mistaken, me and my OH don’t generally do anything special for Valentines, but this year I have made him a little something to say, ” get your butt in front of the TV”, so to speak. It’s always nice to watch a movie together.

Anyway here are the goodies I have made, and as I used a lot of files from The Cutting Cafe, I will add all the links at the end of the post.

The best way to get my hubby to watch a chic flick is with sweet offerings, hence the sugar content of this photo. (chuckling to self).

Now without further ado, here are the links to all the files I have used-:

DT Planner Project

Morning All, How are we all today?

It’s not quite as cold here this morning, but give it a chance and it will no doubt change.

The 21st of the month has come around pretty quick, don’t you think? You know what that means don’t you…. DT project time for The Cutting Cafe.https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/

Regina the shop owner requested we share our planners again, so heres a picture of some decorated pages in mine.

Now I know it’s not one of these amazing planners, with all the fancy pants extras inside it, such as pockets and embellishments, but for me it’s perfect.

As a newbie to planners, I am finding my way, and utilising stamps and punches that I have in my cornucopia of craft supplies. With an endless amount of inspiration on the internet, I decided that something pretty simple was sufficient for my needs, and this was the result.

The Cutting Cafe has a lot of add-ons to the basic planner, such as a food jounal, craft stash journal, pockets & more to add to your planners, so head on over to the shop and take it look…. It’s a real treasure trove. Here is the link to the planner I have used –https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2019-planner/

While you’re there, check out the blog. Here you will find some amazing creations, and loads of inspiration from the rest of the design team. Such an eclectic mix of talented individuals :))).

Until next time…. Happy crafting xx

I’m At It Again

Good morning folks, How are we all today?

All is well on the homefront as always, and I’m slowly getting back into crafting after having what I call a mojo freeze!

You know that feeling when your mojo leaves you for a while, well mine got up and tooks a months holiday. Haha

Back into it now though, but with all the crafty goodies I have, both new and old, then it’s hard not to be inspired. So today I am sharing my latest haul from Dreamees.

All of this was in a project box, with the exception of 2 sets of stamps and the charms, (the charms were from Ebay). Such an amazing kit at an unbelievable price, but then I’d expect nothing less from The Dreamees team.

Now all that’s left to do is find enough time to play with all of my treasures:)). Hope you find enough time in your day for a little crafting, it’s good for the soul.

Talk again soon, but in the meantime…. do what makes you happy xx

Christmas Angels

Just a quick post as I wanted to share a few of the photos, taken over the holiday period.

Now this was our first Christmas as Grandparents, and we loved every minute of it.

From the wide eyed stares at all the twinkling lights, to those memorable photos that create a lifetime of happy memories.

Even the all important Christmas jammies that has been a long time tradition in our home. It truly was BLISS:)))

I mean come on!! I know I’m biased, but how adorable is this?

You can just imagine their 21st birthday party when we put this photo up (crying with laughter). The babies will hate us for it, but I love it.

Oh yes! Nana & Grandad did spoil them a little bit, but trust me when I say…. this is the ONLY car I will ever buy them.

Christmas was wonderful as you can tell, and all I can say is that this year was truly magical.

See ya soon… Kim xx

Gifts For Me

Helloooo!

Now that the holiday season is done, the decorations have been packed away, and everyone is back at school & work, I thought it might be nice to share my crafty christmas gifts with you.

How many husbands out there would spend there birthday taking you to your favourite craft shop? Well mine is 1 in a million, and as his birthday is just a few days before Christmas, he said he would like to visit our friends at Dreamees HQ.

After having a cuppa and a good ole catch up, I of course had to peruse the shop and although I didn’t really intend spoiling myself, I did. In all fairness their shop is so wonderful and full of inspiration, that it’s hard to walk away from.

Several items were purchased, including two of their craft bags. They are all so beautiful, and I just couldn’t decide on which colour to buy, so spoilt myself and bought both the coral and lilac version.

Other items bought included some new MDF pieces to decorate my bedroom, along with some stamps and stamens for my handmade flowers. I bought them in white this time and I now have a myriad of colours.

So what did santa leave in your crafty stocking this year? Trust me when I say… I don’t need Christmas to spoil myself, I do that all year round. (giggles)

Until next time my lovely friends…….. Happy Crafting xx

Planning The Future

Hello, and Happy New Year to you all.

I do hope you had a blessed Christmas and New Year. I spent mine with the family, which is the norm, however this year we stayed home for the New Year, which was wonderful I might add.

As you are aware we are 1 week into 2019, which can only mean one thing…

Design Team Project!

Yes Regina Easter over at The Cutting Cafe, has asked us to showcase the 2019 Planner, as sometimes we all need a little planning & organization in our lives. And what better time of year to start planning than the New Year.

Here is my planner, or at least one of my planners, as I do have a smaller version that I keep in my handbag.

This planner will be used to keep a check of my blog posts , design team projects and swaps, so I don’t find myself overwhelmed by these things. It really doesn’t take much to confuse me some days (crying with laughter).

I added a small amount of ribbon to the spiral binding, and created a simple paper tassel and charm to decorate the outside of it. In all honesty I just wanted it to be pink and girly so my daughter doesn’t want to pinch it:))

I do hope you like the exterior of my planner, and on the 21st of the month I will share the inside pages and how I have set them up. Oh wait, all that’s already done by Regina, all I have to do is decorate if I wish to. Thanks Regina for doing all the hard work, your so good at it, all that I had to do was print off the pages. It really is that simple.

So if you would like to get organized for the upcoming months, head on over to The Cutting Cafe and check out this link-: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2019-planner/

Why not check out other design team members projects over on the blog, https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/cutting_cafe_blog/leave a comment and you could win free files, whoohoo. But more importantly grab yourself a bit of inspiration.

Please feel free to leave me a comment, it’s great to know that I am not alone in blogland, and until next time…

Happy New Year and Happy Crafting xx

It’s The Final Countdown

Doesn’t that make you want to break out in song?

Well it does me…. what can I say, I grew up in the 80’s.

As you may well of figured I am referring to the fact that we are less than a week away from Christmas.  Yay!  This is an incredibly busy time of year for all of us, so as a result the lovely Regina Easter, owner of https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com

asked her design team to share one last project for 2018.  Now this could be an old project or a new one. The choice was ours to make, but made life a little easier if we were re-sharing a project.

I decided to make something new using the Fun with Blocks file available here-: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2014/01/fun-with-blocks-template-and-cutting-files.html

Who doesn’t love a Christmas countdown, whether its in the form of an advent calender, or something a little simpler like this.  I love it and will be carefully packaging it away in the new year, to use it again next year :))

Don’t forget to pop on over to the https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/cutting_cafe_blog/

and view the teams crafty makes… leave a comment and you could be in with a chance to win 3 free files.

Until next time… Happy Crafting xx
