Good afternoon to everyone. I trust this post finds you all well.
Today’s make is my rendition of a shabby chic card. I love the feminine style of shabby chic,
the colours, the way it exudes romance, whats not to love about it.
I find myself watching Youtube videos so much, trying to understand how people have such talent,
to bring these beautiful amazing creations to life.
I do try to create this shabby chic style myself, and feel that I am most definetly making progress,
on my shabby journey.
Here is a card I made recently-:
I used a piece of corrugated kraft card, tore the edges to give a rustic look, then dry brushed it with a little
white acrylic paint. This softened the colour of the cardstock, and made it a little more
dreamy looking. The topper was from an old Kanban kit called “Belle de Fluer”, and the foliage is a Dreamees die.
I do like me some Dreamees products! Also in the background you will notice a
small layer of torn paper, which had inked edges, again to soften the look while adding just a
hint of colour, I used Stampin ups Marina mist for this.
There is a tattered lace die cut tucked away behind the topper, and whilst it is hidden slightly,
I feel like it adds just enough interest to the card.
I finished off with an organza bow and a beautiful sparkly gem.
So happy with my results, I think its quite pretty.
Hope you like it too.
