Hi all, long time no chat!!
So sorry it’s been a while since I posted, life just seems to of gotten in the way.
What with my daughter in law having emergency surgery, and then my grandson being admitted to hospital for a few days, things really have been quite hectic around here.
Anyhoo, on to todays post. Today is Design Team Project day, and we were asked to use the Ugly Sweater Card Template, in any way other than Christmas. Here’s the link to the file used -: https://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/2018/12/ugly-sweater-shaped-card-template-and-cutting-file.html
So me being me, I created a clock!
How fab is that? So easy to create too.
Firstly I used a 12 inch square piece of 4mm thick MDF, and drilled a hole into the centre for the clock mechanism to sit in.
Secondly I covered the board with patterned paper, and adhered my pre-cut ugly sweaters at 12, 3, 6 & 9. The other numbers of the clock were illustrated by means of a half inch circle in black cardstock.
After inking the edges in grey ink, I gave the entire clock a coat of Mod Podge to seal and protect it.
Finally I attached my clock mechanism. (beware – the seconds hand is very fine and easily bent out of shape).
A seriously easy project for any one to make, now all that’s left for me to do is decide which boys bedroom it will be hung in.
Hope you like today’s project and pay a visit to The Cutting Cafe, where you will find this and many other fun files, not to mention lots of inspiration from all the other design team members.
Until next time… Happy crafting xx
